Senior Advertising Strategist

As a Senior Advertising Strategist with Advance Media New York/Advance Local Media, you'll be on the front line of new digital marketing products and technologies, continually providing up-to-date solutions for clients and taking ownership of client success. You'll work with account executives to help close and grow top digital accounts, cultivating account relationships through needs analysis, developing sales strategies, and identifying and implementing campaign execution and tracking steps.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop best-in-class digital marketing strategies for new clients, in partnership with account executives and sales managers, ensuring brand consistency across all client assets (including regular quality checks).
- Spearhead research efforts through data platforms as well as more traditional research avenues and apply gained insights/data to create pitch-perfect digital briefs, customer journeys and campaign plans.
- Participate in client presentations and business development meetings as an expert in the digital marketing arena to add strategic support.
- Leading marketing RFP response proposals.
- Develop and optimize clients' overall digital content strategy, as well as measure engagement and impact over time.
- Bringing to market new product innovations, lead beta-testing and analysis as needed, and occasionally speak to trade organizations.
- Monitor and analyze performance across clients' digital channels to track engagement, providing insights from media monitoring, and performance analytics to help optimize client campaigns.
- Identify current clients and campaigns that are positioned for growth by devising new ideas to introduce tactics and capture additional market share for the client.
- Stay up to date on current and emerging industry trends, technology, and events to provide the most cutting-edge insights and guidance to clients and the agency at large.
- Collaborate with fulfillment team guiding the development of client facing reporting -- dashboards and reporting presentations, and lead reporting calls.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- 3-5 years' experience with multiple forms of digital media including social, mobile, video, display, content, and search.
- A desire to take on a leadership position of expertise and be a source of knowledge and education to their peers.
- Knowledge of digital media platforms: Google Analytics, display tactics, streaming video tactics, paid and organic search strategies, social media strategies. DMP (data management platform) experience a plus.
- Excellent organization skills (especially when it comes to daily internal communications;) data analysis skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with all levels of management, sales teams and departments.
- Experience in various tools to develop marketing strategies, measure campaign success, and identify plan optimizations. (Google Analytics, Moat, SEMRush and Arrivalist ) preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills necessary to engage with clientele
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) necessary; experience with Salesforce, Hubspot, various CRM platforms is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, data/statistics, business or related field preferred
Occasional travel should be expected.
