TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR/AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC (FULL- TIME)
BOLTON CENTRAL SCHOOL is accepting applications for a FULL- TIME TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR/AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC
This is a supervisory position involving responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the transportation facilities of a school district. Primary duties include planning bus routes, assigning and directing the work of drivers and ensuring that safety requirements and procedures are implemented, making skilled repairs and adjustments to buses, automotive equipment and machinery. Prepares periodic reports and oversees purchases of all supplies.
Possess or willing to acquire the appropriate class of New York state driver’s license to operate a school bus. Does related work as required. Position will be filled based on Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with examination to be held at a later date. Candidate must meet civil service requirements for appointment following establishment of eligible list.
This is a 12-month position with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
Salary commensurate with experience. Minimum starting salary is $65,000

Duties include:
Prepares, cooks food and supervises work in a school lunch room. Provides day-to-day supervision of kitchen staff in preparation and serving of food, storage and care of food and supplies, of cleaning and care of the kitchen and equipment; maintain production, receiving, inventory, purchasing, labor and budget records; review and approve invoices; finalize menus. Trains subordinate personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma plus two years of college with degree in food service administration, dietetics, nutrition, or related field, plus one year of full time experience in large scale food production, including six months as supervisor; or three years full time experience in large scale food production, including six months as a supervisor. Knowledge of Child Nutrition program is a plus.
This position works an annual schedule based on 200 calendar days with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
