The Maintenance Coordinator will provide maintenance and repair work for various tasks in one or more craft areas in the operation of the residence halls. Perform maintenance and repair tasks independently and or assist journey-level craft workers. Assist in providing a comfortable living environment for students in residence halls.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform work from work orders provided by supervisor or crew leader. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Communicate daily with supervisor, staff, students, and residents regarding needed repairs and work order status. Work with supervisor and crew leader on work orders that require assistance from other trades. Sign out, track and account for all inventory used and taken from the shop.
- Assist Electrician technicians in installations and make readies in apartments. Check and maintain electrical systems, change out lamps and switch ceiling fans, perform minor electrical repairs, and work with other trades as required.
- Assist HVAC technicians in installing HVAC systems and performing preventative maintenance on units. This position will also assist in changing air filters in student apartments and offices and working with other trades as required.
- Assist Plumbers in minor plumbing repairs and maintenance of sewer systems, make readies and replace and service kitchen sinks, bathtubs, lavatories, and toilets. And work with other trades as required.
- Assist Carpenters in installations and repairs of make-ready doors, cabinets, windows, floors, drywall, framing, and roof repairs, and work with other trades as required.
- Assist all trades doing preventative maintenance changing out air filters, assisting the repair of shop equipment (dollies, drain machines, etc.), and inventory management.
- Submit paperwork promptly. Accuracy and timeliness of dailies, mileage reports, computer-oriented weeklies filled out correctly and submitted on time each week. Work orders filled out correctly. Notes on work orders indicate what work was done, tests performed, possible charges, and explanations for unusual delays or parts. Pick up supplies and drive a CSU vehicle.
- Carry a CSU cell phone, be on the on-call rotation, and respond to emergencies as requested. Perform and respond to emergency repairs 24/7 and facilitate completion as needed. Work weekends and overtime as determined by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High school graduate or GED
- Two years of experience performing installation, operation, construction, maintenance and repair work.
- Requires six months of mechanical/trade training beyond high school and two years of maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required and on-call needs.
