Project Manager

JOB OVERVIEW
The Development Project Manager, Behind the Meter, is responsible for Gross Profit Margin, achieving annual MW targets and project cycle times for specific portfolios of solar photovoltaic projects developed by Forefront Power.
JOB LOCATION AND REPORTING TO
This position will be based in either our San Francisco office or for the right candidate as a remote position (CA based only). The Project Manager reports to the Senior Project Manager and works closely with the Sales and Legal teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversight of all Project Management responsibilities for your region, portfolio, and/or segment of assigned business.
- Manage, provide guidance and support to Development Project Management and Project Coordination personnel on all assigned projects and portfolios.
- Work directly with Director of Development, Senior Project Manager, Regional and/or segment Sales lead(s) to align team efforts with project portfolio and company goals
- Collaborate with Director of Engineering and/or Project Engineering leads to ensure project design efforts are adequately and accurately supported in a timely manner
- Oversight and approval of all obligations, budgets, schedules, cash flows, and resource requirements associated with RFP responses and all assigned projects and portfolios.
- Provide Development representation for all RFP shortlist interviews when required.
- Collaborate with internal and external legal project representatives.
- Coordinate Development efforts to align with Structured Finance obligations.
- Review RFP, SPSA, and/or other energy off-take and site licensing documents and support due diligence and negotiation efforts.
- Manage solicitation and procurement of due diligence vendors. Actively manage due diligence vendors on all assigned portfolios.
- Manage solicitation and procurement of EPC contractors for all assigned projects and portfolios.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven track record of accomplishments working as a Project Manager with multiple projects, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders and support organizations
- Experience implementing a variety of types of projects with CA public entities, ideally including schools
- Experience implementing canopy projects
- 5-10 years of relevant industry experience Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Motivation to accomplish objectives to achieve company goals and objectives
- Highly motivated self-starter, friendly personality, team player, lead by example.
- High level of knowledge and experience in the renewable energy industry; solar PV project development and/or construction preferred
- Bachelor of Science in related field of work; Construction Management, Engineering or related
- Technical degree preferred but not required
- Computer proficiency including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Accounting applications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires 20% of travel. The Project Manager should be comfortable traveling to various sites including construction sites and being around heavy equipment.
