The Casper Star-Tribune, the statewide voice of Wyoming with a reputation for original and enterprising journalism, is seeking an experienced managing editor to direct day-to-day operations. We're looking for a leader who will both inspire reporters and engage with readers.
This is the newsroom's No. 2 job. You'll have a voice in planning, developing and delivering impactful journalism across digital and print platforms, plus you'll direct workflow and production while partnering with the newsroom's top editor. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
The Star-Tribune is a regular winner of the Deming Cup, the Wyoming Press Association's top award for general excellence, as well as other regional journalism awards. Our tradition is built upon unmatched reporting in a state that feels more like one big community with really long roads.
Casper is the middle of it all, centrally located with a population of nearly 60,000 and big-city amenities, a friendly cost of living and a rejuvenated downtown that features multiple breweries and restaurants.
