One of the best small daily news organizations in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time general assignment reporter to cover Baraboo and Sauk County.
Come join our team and live and work in an area that includes Wisconsin's top tourist destination and nearly unlimited outdoor activities as well as a lively arts and music scene.
This is a multifaceted job, covering city and county government, public safety, courts and regional growth and development.
Duties include writing news and feature stories, photography, video production, developing sources and deciding which events are newsworthy, with an emphasis on enterprise work. This reporter will create content for wiscnews.com as well as its associated print products, including the Baraboo News Republic and the Portage Daily Register.
At least two years of reporting experience or its equivalent preferred, either at a daily newspaper, internships or student news organization.
