  • The Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Studies Department of Molloy University seeks faculty members to teach introductory Organic and Biological Chemistry (lecture and laboratory). The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Master's degree in Chemistry/Biology or an appropriate related field, and have early morning, day time and/or evening availability. Candidates with previous college teaching experience desired.

    The adjunct faculty members are responsible for:
    • preparing and delivering face to face instruction to undergraduate students in cooperation with the department's Chairperson and other faculty.
    • using a range of suitable strategies to foster student learning and encourage active learning in all students;
    • maintaining proper class-related records;
    • promptly assessing student's coursework and apprising students of progress;
    • meeting with students before or after class to attend to their course related questions.
    The ideal candidate will possess the ability to relate well to a diverse population of learners.

    SALARY INFORMATION

    When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary range for this position is $1,130.00 per credit (Undergraduate Instructor) to $1,280.00 per credit (Graduate Assistant Professor). This hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
