NTT Faculty (Radiologic Sciences)
Position Summary: The School of Health Sciences, in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, is seeking applicants for an Assistant Lecturer/Clinical Assistant Professor within the baccalaureate program in Radiologic Sciences, beginning August 16, 2023. This is a full-time, term, renewable, non-tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the Radiologic Sciences Radiography program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide direct classroom/laboratory/clinical instruction and office hours as assigned.
- Teach via online and traditional delivery methods.
- Participate in all program duties as described in accreditation standards, which include program assessment activities and revision of clinical and didactic course materials and requirements.
- Be responsible for coordinating clinical education with didactic education as assigned by the School Director.
- Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of student clinical experiences.
- Provide clinical instruction and document the evaluation and progression of clinical performance leading to clinical competence.
- Lift phantoms in a laboratory setting and drive to clinical education sites.
- Engage in other duties as determined by the Director of the School of Health Sciences.
Some travel will be expected to meet workload assignment, and a valid driver's license is required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, health, or a related field by date of hire.
- Credentialed in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- At least three years of work experience within the field of radiologic sciences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in a health or education related discipline. For an individual holding a doctoral degree, the appointment will be at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.
- Credentialed in Radiography with advanced credentials in the imaging/therapeutic sciences.
- Working experience within a JRCERT accredited program that documents teaching and supervisory experience with Radiologic Science students.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational and technology skills.
