Job Description:
SUNY Empire School for Graduate Studies seeks a Coordinator for Clinical Experiences (State Title: Senior Staff Assistant) to coordinate the clinical components of its MS in Applied Behavior Analysis Program. The successful candidate will build relationships with stakeholders across the state in order to facilitate ABA students' clinical experiences in diverse settings and ensure program and school-based support. This will involve frequent communication with potential placement sites across New York State.
The incumbent will work closely with culturally diverse faculty, staff and students in a multicultural learning work environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating & tracking all clinical experience and placements
- Representing the ABA program to program administrators and supervisors for issues concerning clinical experience requirements and observation requirements; working with programs to secure clinical placements, including but not limited to ongoing meetings to ensure placements are adhering to current clinical standards
- Serving as point of contact for students, faculty, and external audiences regarding clinical hours, and clinical locations.as the primary contact for prospective ABA students for questions about program clinical components and requirements
- Working to identify and verify clinical supervisors with ABA licensure per current standards and assisting with recruiting and retaining qualified clinical supervisors
- Conducting internal reporting and analyzing data about clinical experiences to make informed program decisions
- Serving as a backup to assist with other areas of Clinical Services and Licensure, as needed
- Training potential supervisors on current clinical standards, and program related technologies
- Program and department support as needed
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Excellent and effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work within a collaborative environment with diverse populations
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, as well as be a strong team player
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- A minimum of two years' work experience in higher education
- Experience with coordinating clinical experiences or programs
- Experience developing external partnerships
- Experience with regulatory compliance
Special Information:
- This position can be based in Buffalo, Rochester, Saratoga Springs, Brooklyn, Staten Island or Selden, NY
- Occasional travel may be required to fulfill department, division, and university-wide commitments
- Some evening hours required as needed
Additional Information:
Rank/Salary: SL3/$55,000-$60,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
