Business Development Administrator
The Business Development Administrator for the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine identifies and cultivates partnerships between the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and private industry, healthcare organizations, and other academic institutions to develop new academic and research programs. This position supports the Dean and Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and acts as a single point of contact to identify potential partnership opportunities. This position requires travel.
The Business Development Administrator is a key component of the SPHTM Dean’s office. This position supports the Dean with all aspects of building new collaborations between industry and academic partners and managing relationships with key stakeholders to enable new projects to be developed. The Business Development Administrator develops an in-depth knowledge of the SPHTM academic and research capabilities and assists the Dean in matching them to industry and other academic institutions’ needs to foster appropriate business relationships which leverage the SPHTM’s strengths.
The Business Development Administrator works at the direction of the Dean and Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives in cooperation with all internal, pertinent offices such as department chairs and deans, in-house counsel, the University Office of Research, the Office of Technology Transfer, Office of Advancement, Communications and Marketing, etc.
