Job Overview
Assist with the administration and direction of a multifunctional department or center. Assist the Associate Director managing West Campus Housekeeping. Meet with building czars, outside contractors, and vendors, as it pertains to Housekeeping. Performs daily inspections of areas on West Campus. Audits the inventory management system (IMS) and purchases equipment, supplies, and chemicals as needed. Manages timekeeping. Project management. Works with and assists union employees; responsible for the training and development of staff. Adhere to the Campus Services mission, vision and values.

Essential Functions
- Develop and implement standards, policies and procedures for custodial services.
- Requisition and maintain supplies and equipment.
- Review and recommend operating expenditures.
- Respond to inquiries and problems.
- Maintain safety practices and procedures.
- Inspect buildings regularly to assure satisfactory custodial work.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
- Three (3) years of related experience.
- May require supervision experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of the AFSCME contract.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers and contractors.
