Job Summary
The Ophthalmic Technician Lead positions are front-line staff in the Department of Ophthalmology, interacting with patients, physicians and other staff.
We expect the person in this position to treat all persons with respect and dignity in a courteous manner, anticipating and fulfilling others' needs while respecting their privacy.We expect our staff to provide and align their care of patients in support of our goal to be a preferred patient care provider.
The Ophthalmic Technician Lead will be responsible for ensuring patients are moving through the clinic in an efficient manner, resolving any issues/bottlenecks.
This position is expected to be proficient in patient intake and all diagnostic testing, as this position will train all staff and students and ensure competency in all subspecialty patient care requirements. This position will plan and implement didactic and clinic training for both staff and students.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Ophthalmic Eye Care knowledge, ophthalmic diagnostics experience, attention to detail, electronic health record, ability to train others.
