Preferred Education/Experience
  • Experience with childcare and/or special needs child and care.
  • Experience with individuals with development delays.
Hours per Week

27+ hours every other week
7:30- 8:30 am to 5:30- 6:30 pm

Mon- Wednesdays required

Thursday/Friday would be optional hours and times if the student wants more work hours.

Job Summary

Individual to provide ( CLS/Respite) childcare for a 16 yr old sweet girl with Down syndrome. In need of an outgoing, creative and energetic individual to provide support and care of a 16 yr old child with Down syndrome. Position requires individual with safe driving skills that has a driver's license and safe car to transport child to dance, therapist appts and activities in the community. Must agree to complete background check, abuse registry check and have or obtain a current CPR certificate.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
  • Able to follow behavioral plan and parents direction to execute redirecting/ teaching individual.
  • Able to work on daily living skills with child and have great communication skills and patients with child.
  • Have or obtain a current CPR certificate
  • Reliable insured vehicle, valid driver's license in Kentucky (or obtain)
  • Able to complete background checks and abuse registry
