Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 50 lb, standing or walking with objects between 10-25 lbs, sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time, regular repetitive motions, and occasional job-related travel.

Shift

Primarily day shift Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends per departmental needs.

Job Summary

The Technology Infrastructure Manager functions as a flexible role that will have the ability to adjust to a rapidly changing technology landscape. Duties for this position will include management of one or more of the following areas: Storage, Database, Virtualization, Platform, Cloud, or Data Center Facilities. Responsibilities for your area of technology management will include managing teams to achieve UK HealthCare IT strategic goals; managing planning, procurement, and hardware/software lifecycle; managing quarterly spend, adjusting as needed to meet yearly budget; regularly interfacing with operations and application teams to coordinate activities, plan, and understand sizing requirements; interfacing with Enterprise Architecture to maintain alignment to enterprise strategies and technology governance; developing strategic and operational documentation; leading data collection and logging aggregation efforts; maintaining knowledge of industry best practices.

This is a hybrid work position with both remote and on-site work.

The ideal candidate will have experience of industry standard technologies, budgeting skills, hardware implementation and support, independent thinking, continued knowledge and education of dedicated technology area, hardware implementation and support, self-driven.

Master's degree preferred with 7+ years of experience in information technology.
