Job Summary

Greets & assists visitors in person or over the telephone. Provides general office support. Data entry duties & departmental media/marketing distribution for University.

Responsibilities

1. Receives, greets, and directs visitors to the appropriate person or office.
2. Answers telephones, provides assistance, and directs customers to the correct person or office.
3. Creates & distributes departmental marketing flyers, invitations, notices, etc.
4. Processes and distributes mail.
5. Creates and maintains student files.
6. Schedules appointments and arranges meetings for staff.
7. Answers questions about TRIO and associated activities.
8. Primary overseer of data entry and maintains student databases.
9. Maintains office equipment, tracks inventory; arranges for service calls as needed.

The incumbents in this position are expected to be familiar with the department's policies and procedures and are required to have a working knowledge of University and department organizations and procedures in order to answer and assist staff and visitors.
